Why Walco?
"We at Cochran County Feedyard use the Walco Feedyard Software for cattle accounting, bunk reading, animal health and billing. The program is not that difficult to learn, especially if you are somewhat familiar with feedyard software programs. It has basically enabled us to operate the yard with minimal secretarial help, saving us time and money. I would recommend the software to anyone dealing with the cattle accounting. The support has been consistently great. We talk to James, Pat, and Kathy, and someone is always available to help us out." - Craig Pruet, Cochran County Feedyard
"Rick and I truly love the Walco program, with its many different reports and capabilities. We have been up and running on our own for about 6-7 months. Rick loves the bunk reader - it's easy to make changes, switch up a ration if you need to. Just today I was in a hurry and saw an unfinished close out - Oh!! So, I called and we just undo the close out - no problem. The support both Rick and I have gotten from Kathy Moore has been above and beyond the normal. Kathy has made herself available to us at anytime, giving us each her cell phone number. James Long has been great with working with our needs, also. Making the program more individual to fit and work for us. Debbie always answers the phone with such professionalism and kindness. Thank you all, it's great having you all on our team." - Patty Hansen, Hansen Feed Yards
"Interactive Manager (IM) does a nice job of summarizing and displaying recent daily info. We produce so much data every day in one of these facilities. Having a system that can distill all that data down into useful information that is in a quick and easyt-to-read format is very helpful. The dashboard offers a quick reference for trends in consumption and animal health. It offers a great picture first thing in the morning of trends and what is happening around the yard. From this, I can better plan some of the priorities for the day. When a customer calls, I can get to the answers for their questions much faster with IM." - Scott Anderson, CRI Feeders of Guyman, LLC
"After searching the internet, we could not find any program which would meet our needs. We began to speak with computer programmers who offered to write programs to accommodate our needs in the price range of $30,000 and higher, which was much more than we wanted to spend. Another problem about their systems was that each animal had to be tracked individually as it moved from one location to another, making this a data-entry nightmare. We were much more interested in a system which could track the cattle by groups or lot and allocate average expenses as the moved from one location to another. Then, suddenly an associate told me about Cattle 3000 and when I checked it out, I found it was exactly what we needed. The program is easy to use, reports are easily modified to suit our requirements and the system was affordable. The service we have received in dealing with glitches or report changes has been excellent. We would recommend this system to anyone interested in keeping track of their cattle and their related costs." - Alan Gottlieb, Ponoholo Ranch Limited
