GoalMine 
GoalMine technology tools represent Walco Technologies’ commitment to innovation in areas not necessarily connected to the day-to-day management of livestock. In addition, it provides Walco Technologies a development platform to explore new ways in which we can serve our customers.
The GoalMine series of products are data management, data analysis, and communications software tools that utilize some form of web-related capability. GoalMine products are designed to enhance Walco Technologies’ other site-based software by providing tools to manage and communicate information across the internet in a secure and private manner.
Services currently available are:
Goalmine FTP - provides customers with a private, secure off-site hard disk location to which they can copy data and files to/from for safe-keeping, and/or for relaying files to another company site.
Goalmine FTP Backup – provides an automatic backup feature of your feedlot data to your private FTP site. The user determines what files to be sent, and at what time of the day or night. Files can be copied in standard or zipped format.
Goalmine FTP Service - provides a means by which Walco Technologies staff can send customers software updates for our site-specific software, where a direct connection is not available.
Goalmine Direct – provides server administration through direct monitoring by Walco Technologies server administrators. Used primarily for SQL Server installations, it allows professional staff to manage and optimize your server performance on a daily or weekly basis. Systems monitored include Microsoft system software updates, cpu usage and bottlenecks, network traffic bottlenecks, system and user software errors that may lock the system down, power outages, etc.
Goalmine Data Analysis – provides custom user-guided data analysis and data mining expertise for those customers who desire more sophisticated data analysis of their operation. Information often utilizing this service are historical close-out performance analysis, daily feed consumption analysis, projecting commodity usage based on past performance, and identifying trends in specific areas of management.
